Community Q named as a Top 10 New Dining Destination in the USA!

MSN.com published a list of the Top 10 New Dining Destinations in the US this morning.  Atlanta's own Community Q was the only restaurant in Georgia to be included on the list.  Other notable restaurants included Collichio & Sons (NYC), and Thomas Keller's Bouchon (Beverly Hills).  Congratulations to David, Stuart, and Jim on such a tremendous achievement.

     Yet again, the fantastic folks at Haven have found themselves in the top 10 restaurants as voted by the readers of Jezebel Magazine.  This year's poll finds Haven at number 5.   Overall, the top 10 favorite Atlanta restaurants stacked up like this:

1.  Aria   2.  New York Prime   3.  Bacchanalia   4.  Bone's   5.   Haven    6.  Posh   7.  Chops Lobster Bar   8.  The Dining Room at the Ritz Carlton   9.  Rathbun's   10.  South City Kitchen

Haven's consistent position in the top ten is largely due to the combination of exceptional front-of-the-house service from husband and wife owners, Michel and Tonya Arnette, and the consistently familiar and innovative dishes coming from Stephen Herman's kitchen.  Together, they have built an ardently loyal customer base that keeps the restaurant filled six days a week.

      This year, the BBQgeek counts himself lucky to have been taken under the wing of Haven's executive chef, Stephen Herman, as a sometimes apprentice.  Stephen has graciously allowed me to enter his kitchen to help me sharpen my skills in my quest for gourmet BBQ.  With some luck, we might just get there.
