The summer has been rich with opportunities for the BBQgeek to hone his catering skills. This summer season has seen a 30th birthday and 40th birthday party come and go, as well as a end of season staff party for a local daycare business. Although the names and faces change at each event, one thing remains the same - the menu. For most of the summer parties, I've cooked my baby back ribs with my homemade sauce, pulled pork, my smack-your-momma mac and cheese, and barbequed baked beans. Special thanks go out to Robert and Jessica Deforest, Todd and Missy Jeska, as well as all the residents of Glade Marina Dock A, Tim Smith and friends, and Colleen MacDonald and the staff of The Playroom . Here's a selection of photos from this summer's catering:
Robert (my future business manager) enjoys a little after work snack.
Jessica, celebrating her 29th (ahem), birthday with the fine folks at Glade Marina. Jessica and I have worked together for 12 years in the book industry, the food industry, telecom, and most recently the baby industry (Hi Aiden!!) .
Missy Jeska makes sure everything is running right on Dock A. Sometime in the not-to-distant future, Missy and I will be taking over the restaurant world
Missy's bevy of birthday BBQ.
Although I forgot to take my camera to the end-of-season party for the Playroom staff, I did manage to snap a picture of of my ribs before I delivered them to the event. Yummo.
